Place one scoop of alginate (pink or white powder) into one of the mixing bowls.
Place one scoop of die stone (green or blue) into the other mixing bowl.

Take the mixing bowl with the alginate and pour one full scoop of water into the bowl and begin to mix.

Mix the alginate and water thoroughly. Make sure there are no chunks or air bubbles. Imagine mixing dough together.

Use the spatula to scoop out the alginate mix and spread evenly into the mouth tray. (STEPS 3-5 should take no longer than 30 sec).

6. Bite Down into the mouth tray. If you are taking a mold of your top teeth, make sure you pull your top lip out. If you are taking a mold of your bottom teeth, make sure you pull your bottom lip out. Please be sure to bite down all the way into the mold and hold until completely dry. (3-5 minutes)

Spray the impression with dissinfectant spray.

Take a little less than half a scoop of water and mix into the die stone.

Mix carefully and make sure you get all of the air bubbles out as you mix.

Take one scoop of the die stone mix with the spatula and pour into the center of the impression.

Find any long metal instrument to tap your tray (a long screw driver works fine). Hold the impression in one hand and tap the side of the mold with the other to spread out the die stone and to remove remaining air bubbles.

Carefully pour the rest of the die stone into the impression until it is completely filled to the top. If you notice that some of the die stone flows out of the back, please place something underneath to prop up the tray.

Wait until the die stone is completely dry. You will notice that the die stone will become a lighter shade when it is dry.

Use the dental knife to carefully unhinge the die stone off of the impression. A good mold should have all of the teeth linings visible and there should be NO HOLES or CRACKS.

Using a marker or pen, please mark the teeth that you would like, and be sure to have a customer number number written on the top. Place your mold and order from in a zip loc bag and you are ready to send us the mold.
